Ex-Labor Secretary’s New Job

Former Oregon congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer, who resigned this year as U.S. labor secretary, has found a new job lobbying for data centers at public affairs company Think Big. “Gallup says seven in ten Americans don’t want a data center built near them,” she wrote in a social media post. “I believe that can change.” [Oregonian]

Goats on a TriMet Bus

It’s Portland, so naturally goats seem like they’re everywhere — including (apparently) on public transit. Earlier this week, two pygmy goats boarded the FX-2 Division bus. Customers helped encourage them to go back to roaming the streets before the bus went on its way. [KGW]
